Waiting to Fall

Finn Crawford never thought his life would change with one stupid dare. Or that he would make the mistake of taking things too far with his twin sister’s best friend. Now he’s fighting off an attraction he didn’t expect.

Cora Donovan doesn’t want a relationship, especially one with the guy who’s always been there for her when she needed it most. Just being in the same room as him makes her body heat up in ways she never thought possible.

There’s only one other thing that might stand in their way of being together if they can actually figure out how to make it work. Neither of them want to hurt Olivia, and if they broke up, that’s exactly what would happen. Sometimes it’s hard to determine if love is worth the risk.

4.5 -- Princess -- stars

If you have read Waiting to Breathe, then you already know Finn and Cora and you also have been dying to read their story. I would start with Waiting to Breathe, because there are a few important spoilers in this book and you already get to know Finn and Cora. There has been a tension between them and I wanted to see them together.

I loved this story and the writing. Finn and Cora are amazing characters. Finn is smart, sweet, loving, strong, determined and caring. He’s a great friend and brother. He studies very hard, because he wants to do good at college. Finn makes time for Cora and he’s always there for her. He wants her and he’s determined to make Cora realize that they would be good together.

Cora is sweet, funny, caring and loving. She feels something for Finn, but she’s a little insecure and damaged. She isn’t sure what to do, because she doesn’t want to get hurt. She does love spending time with Finn, because he makes her smile and forget everything.

Finn and Cora have been best friends since they were kids and that friendship is important to them. They hesitated to be together, because they are afraid to ruin their friendship. They also have a few other reasons to not want a relationships and I understand them. They are still things to discover about Finn and Cora and I loved getting to know them better.

Olivia and Nate appear sometimes and I loved reading about them still being in love. Their love is strong and solid. Nate and Olivia are great friends of Finn and Cora. Hannah is also an amazing friend. I’m kind of hoping for a book about her. She’s sweet, funny and caring.

3.5 stars for this advanced reader copy that I received voluntarily.

I loved Finn & Cora from book one BUT I didn't expect them to be so damn stubborn.

They had a drunken one night stand; afterwards Finn wanted more and Cora wasn't ready for a relationship. But they couldn't stay away from each other. Cora's attitude was driving me crazy but when I finally found out the reason why she's against relationships I felt sorry for her.

Finn was his typical lovable self. He really tried to just keep it as a benefits thing but screwed up so royally majority of the time. But he still had a great heart. And his relationship with his twin was so beautiful. He tried really hard to make Cora see things differently and to give him a chance. Their HEA took a while but it was worth it.

I reallyyyyyy loved seeing Nate & Olivia, ❤️.

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds a sublime Five-star read. This is the second book in the waiting duet, and follows on from Waiting to Breathe, so you would have huge spoilers if you read this book without the first as we see more of Finn and Cora in this book but we also keep up to date with Finns twin sister Olivia and her now fiancé Nate. This book follow the pace of the last, and continues with a great story that will have your heart breaking and soaring in equal measures, just like the first book, if not more as Cora and Finns story isn’t your typical boy meets girl and they fall in love, this is a story of two people who have been best friends for more years than they can count and have always been a part of a threesome with Olivia as Finns twin and Cora’s best friend, then one morning find themselves with some explaining to do and some thinking after a night with a bottle of tequila brings them closer than either would care to admit.
Cora Donovan has had a rough time in college, Olivia her best friends only came to college recently after some stuff that she was dealing with, meaning that she had to spend time alone with Finn, growing a friendship bond that she hopes will never break as he has always been there for her through thick and thin. He knows things about her that even her bestie Olivia doesn’t know as she was dealing with her own story. All anyone knows of Cora is a party girl who likes a good time, and isn’t in a rush to settle down, that’s all she wants people to know.
Finn Crawford has also had a rotten time of it, he saw his best buddies butt while he was getting naked with this sister, that can scar a guy for life. He is also keeping his own secrets, for reasons that only he knows. All he knows is that he has always looked out for Cora like a sister, until one bottle of tequila changed everything, now he is worried if they get together will it ruin the great friendship they have? Neither of them do relationships so it’s not an easy choice to make.
Will they ever their act together and see what everyone else sees, that they are perfect together? Or will they keep denying themselves. Only time will tell. Read the book to find out, you won’t be disappointed.

I gave this book 4 stars!!!

This book is Finn and Cora story. We first meet these two characters in Waiting to Breath. All though this book is a standalone, I think you should read Waiting to Breath where you can see the characters as a brother and best friend to Olivia and Nate.

Finn is Olivia's twin brother and Cora is her best friend. Finn is sexy as sin and is smart as hell. Finn father wants him to take over the business after he graduates. Finn has decided to double major and his work load leaves him little time for anything else, but after one kiss from Cora a year ago at New Year Eve party and he knows he wants more. A year later and a drunk night Finn gets his wish and wakes up in bed with Cora.

Cora is a smart and sexy female that loves to live life to the fullest. She has been best friends with Olivia and Finn for years, But after that kiss at NYE she thought that her and Finn was finally going to get together. But a year later, she finds that it wasn't going to be in the cards, until one drunk night, she ends up in bed with Finn.

When Finn suggests to Cora that they just hook up, she is down with it but tells herself she isn't going to take it further. Cora is afraid that if she confesses her feelings for Finn and he doesn't feel the same or if he does and they break up that Olivia will have to choose between her brother and best friend. Finn is so in love with Cora but doesn't know if she feels the same way and he doesn't want Olivia to have to choose if something did happen. Can these two come together and make it work or will it always be just friends with benefits?

This book was a good pace read and I devoured it in a couple of hours. The writing was flawless and will make you feel each of the emotions that these two characters endure. Will be looking for more work from this author in the future.

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds is book two of the Waiting Duet.

I am so glad I don’t have to choose which book or character is my favorite since both of the books in this duet are great!

While the first book was about Olivia, Waiting to Fall is about her twin brother Finn and their best friend Cora. Both Cora and Finn are players. They love the opposite sex and they love having sex. When they finally hook up, it’s all blamed on a drunken one-night stand. But then feelings start to get involved and it seems things start to change. Cora and Finn don’t want a relationship with anyone much less with each other because they both love Olivia so much.

Again Reynolds’ writing style kept me turning the pages. Reading this story was agony most of the time. Heart breaking really, having to read about how these two tried to keep their non-relationship a secret from everyone especially Finn’s sister Olivia. How the two fought against their feelings for each. Even though there was some heart break, longing and a little anxiety while “waiting” for these characters to get their act together, there was hope and love and lots of sex.

“We knew what it had taken to get these two to this point, and it couldn’t have happened to two better people. I just hoped that I was lucky enough to find that kind of love.”

Aren’t we all “waiting to fall” for the one?

I liked the ending of this book but it left me wanting more, so while this is called a duet maybe something else is in the works? I wouldn’t mind reading more about Finn and Cora, Nate and Olivia and even Hannah and Chance. Once again I recommend this author and this book.

Title Waiting to Fall
Author:Alyson Reynolds
Series: Waiting Duet - Book 2

Waiting to Fall was a great 5 star read.
I was super excited to get to read Cora and Finn’s story.

I loved Finn from the first book Waiting to Breathe, he was so supportive and strong for his sister. Your heart just melted over him. After a tequila night and some bad decisions, he now has an issue that he needs to deal with, he has fallen for his sister’s best friend Cora.

Cora is trying to fight her feelings for Finn because she doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. The other concern these two have is Olivia, they don’t want to hurt her if things don’t work out between them. Can these two get their heads straight and make things work?

Finn has been such a great friend and support through the years for Cora and he always knows how to make her laugh. I loved reading their story but at times these two were so stubborn and I wanted to wring their necks. The bantering had me LOL at times.

Once you start reading you will not want to put it down. I was all over the place with my emotions, I was exhausted. I really was happy to see Olivia and Nate in the book. The secondary characters were great and I already have some more favorites that I hope to read about soon. We do get to see a HEA but it definitely wasn’t an easy road. These two couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. This series is getting better with each book and I can’t wait for the third one. Thank you once again Alyson Reynolds for pulling me into your world. I loved it!

I really enjoyed Finn and Cora's story. I had some reservations going in, since I wasn't a huge fan of Waiting to Breathe. But I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the banter back and forth between Finn and Cora. I adored how Finn was so protective of Cora and how he valued his friendship with her.

I want to be the noise for you.

I was happy that we got to see glimpses into Nate and Olivia's lives and see Nate's family, as well. That was a sweet add-on I wasn't expecting. I can't believe Nate and Olivia never guessed Finn and Cora were bumping uglies. Seriously? You couldn't see them undressing each other across the room? You didn't feel the temps increase dramatically? Crazy I tell ya!

All we can do is wait. We wait for the pain to pass. We wait to breathe, and we wait to fall.

I wasn't a huge fan that there had to be yet another secret. Why was there this big secretive thing going on between these characters? That's one complaint I have. All in all, it was a very sweet book and a nice conclusion to this duology.

Waiting to Fall is the second book in the Waiting Duet series. The book is written by Alyson Reynolds. I recommend reading the first book in the series, you'll meet these characters in it. But it can be read as a standalone. Alyson Reynolds did a great job on this book. The story is well written. I could not wait to read Finn's story. The two main characters in this book is Finn Crawford and Cora Donovan. You will first meet and Cora in Waiting to Breathe. Finn is Olivia's twin, and Cora is Olivia's best friend. Finn is a great person, he is sweet, caring, handsome and has a good sense of humor. Finn never thought, he would find himself having a strong attraction to his sister's best friend Cora, but after a dare. Finn starts having strong feelings for Cora, ones that he never thought he would have. Besides being his sister's best friend, he's thought of Cora as a friend. So he doesn't want to lose her as his friend, and he doesn't want to cause trouble between Cora and Olivia's friendship. Cora has been a lot, she doesn't want a relationship, especially one with Finn. Finn is special to Cora, she would never want to jeopardize her relationship with Finn and Olivia. But the connection between Finn and Cora is strong. The chemistry is between the two is sweet. I'm not going to give away any spoilers, so I recommend reading this book. Finn and Cora are great together. They are a perfect pair. Love the flirting, and bantering between Finn and Cora. This is a great story. I enjoyed it. Thank you, Alyson Reynolds. Great work on this book :) 4 Star.

Waiting to Fall is the second book in The Waiting Duet Series by Alyson Reynolds. It is a beautiful friends to lovers story. If you haven’t read the first book in the series yet, I strongly suggest that you do as it will enhance your understanding and enjoyment of this story.
We met our two main characters in Waiting to Breathe, book one in the series. Finn is Olivia's twin brother, and Cora is Olivia's best friend. Olivia, Cora and Finn have been friends for quite a long time and are even attending college together.
Finn Crawford is a really great friend and brother- he is smart, sweet, sexy and has a good heart. He is set to take over the family business after graduating, so he elected to do a double major which takes up most of his time. After sharing a kiss with Cora on New Year’s Eve made him look at her in a new light and left him wanting more. His wish is granted, because after a drunken night out he wakes up in bed with Cora. Where do they go from here?
Cora Donovan has a reputation as a party girl who loves a good time. She is in no rush to settle down and so doesn’t do relationships. She is worried that their drunken night doesn’t just jeopardise the friendship she has with Finn, but also with Olivia. She is also fearful of getting hurt. But Finn has a powerful effect on her that she can’t ignore. Should she risk what they have now, in the hope for more? Will they both find the courage to confess their feelings?
This is a really sweet story. Finn and Cora are perfect together; they just had to figure out what everyone else could see. I loved them and though Ms. Reynolds did a superb job in the way she developed them into such complex, interesting and likeable individuals. I also loved Finn’s relationship with his twin, Olivia.
I was so engrossed in the story that I flew through it in a few hours.
It’s a great story!

Thank you Ms. Reynolds!

Finn Crawford never expected his life to change due to a dare. But now due to that dare he is now making the mistake of taking things too far with his and twin sisters best friend Cora. But he never expected that his one night stand would turn into multiple times let alone, fighting off an attraction that he never expected to get.

Cora Donovan doesn’t do relationships and doesn’t want one either especially when it comes down to Finn who has been there when she needed him the most, but now a spark has ignited in her, where just being in the same room as him makes her body heat up in ways she never thought possible.

With neither of them wanting to hurt Olivia, in case they break up and things don’t go according to plan they continue to figure out what is really between them, and how to make it work before revealing all to others. But both of them have a decision to make, is love worth the risk?

Waiting to Fall is the final book in the Waiting Duet Series by Alyson Reynolds, and my second book by this author. After reading this series I can’t wait to see what else this author has to offer.

I was hooked on this book from the beginning to the end and didn’t put it down. I loved everything about this book from the story line, to the characters. You get a range of emotions throughout this book; such as love, romance, heartache, angst, fear, passion, jealousy. Before secrets get revealed in this book you never expected what had happened to Cora, but after then there was a suspenseful feel to the book, and I was waiting to read what was going to happen. But I never expected that turn of events! But after everything that happens through this book I’m glad that our characters get a HEA!

The characters whether they were main or secondary all held their own through the book and made themselves stand out in some way.

I loved reading this already deep connected friends connected on another level and how their relationship develops. They have a brilliant dynamic together, they have fun, flirt always there for each other through everything, and always spending time together in some way. It takes a while for these two to finally get together, but I think that was one; down to past experiences with Cora’s Ex, but these two were the most stubborn I have read for a while. Sometimes I was just wishing they would just give in and take the chance. They already trusted each other, knew everything about each other, they just need to take the next step. This two even before their relationship became more involved they were a perfect match. They challenged each other, knew each other just by their actions and I think that is what’s makes them an incredible pairing.

Another good thing about this book along with the characters are that we get to read each chapter from the other person’s POV. It really helps me connect with the characters themselves, but even better is that we get to find out what they really think or feel rather than hearing it from someone else. Also, we get to read about Olivia and Nate again and see where they are in their relationship.

Finn, doesn’t do relationships. Feelings are not something that he knows what to do with or speak about, especially when they are for the best friend that you have known for most of your life. Finn is caring, considerate, intelligent, protective and a brilliant friend. But doesn’t know how to handle things when it comes to Cora. He has been with her through all with her ex and knows that he will never hurt her, but others will be hurt if things don’t go right with him and Cora so they continue to keep it on the down low, but things just start becoming harder to hide when feelings continue to grow into something he can’t ignore any further. Can he show Cora that they can do this and be happy? Or will she continue to push him away and shut down when she gets to scared about what they will become? He has patience and doesn’t force Cora, and I found myself routing for him a lot through this book.

When we first met Cora in Book 1, you never would have thought that she had something in her past that she wanted to remain hidden. But after finding out what really happened you can also understand her reason of denying anything with Finn, even if their connection is undeniable. Cora is another natural beauty that is down to earth, funny, sweet and caring and deserves to be happy with someone like Finn especially when he was around for everything she went through! If that was me I’d stop being stubborn and give into my feeling for Finn rather than keep being unhappy with denying something that is clearly perfect. But you can really understand all their reasons for why they waited but that didn’t stop me from telling the characters to just give in and give it a shot.

These two are a perfect match, that both help heal each other in some way and challenge each other, and I loved following their journey. They have their fair share of issues that break them, or pushing each other away for silly reasons but if they just stopped being stubborn would realise how perfect they are for each other.

This book has been brilliant read from start to finish, that is a great story of love, passion and great friends. Do not miss this brilliant final read in the captivating series.

Waiting to Fall: Book 2 of the Waiting Duet by Alyson Reynolds is the second book in the Waiting Duet series. This story can be read as a stand alone but it would be beneficial to you if you read the first one in order to get some of the background information on some of the characters. It is always enjoyable getting to see what happens to the characters from the previous stories and you will find that in here. This story will make you laugh, cry and get angry in a part. You will enjoy how this author has created a story that will take you on a journey of friendship that fate may have other plans for. This author has created characters that will pull at your heart strings and make you feel like you are right there with them. Find out what happens with these two characters as they make a choice to push limits of friendship or to just let fate take over.

Finn Crawford never expected two things to happen to him. First, his friends give him a dare and second, taking things too far with his sister's best friend. Now, he is left fighting an attraction that he can't seem to resist. Will he take a chance on taking their friendship a step farther? What will his sister say?

Cora Donovan is a girl who doesn't want a relationship and least of all one with him. He has always been there for her when she needed him. The attraction she feels for her, heats her up in ways she never thought possible. When a part of her past comes crashing into her life today, what will happen? Will she be in danger or will she have heroes to save her? Will she let down the walls she has built around her?

Finn and Cora's relationship is one where they have been best friends forever. The only difference now is that their attraction for each other is hotter then anything they are use too. Will they be able to resist each other? Will they have to keep things secret for the right reasons? Could her past break or make their relationship? These are two very strong characters and you will fall in love with them. Cora really does seem to come into her own throughout the story. Finn is the hot, sexy man in this story that will do anything for her. He was a playboy but will she make him change his ways? Healing and over coming guilt is something that she must face to be happy, is she strong enough? These characters will keep you engaged until the end of this story. They will have you laughing with their feisty attitudes and the banter back and forth. Find out what happens with these two characters when one needs healing and the other just wants to fix the hurt.

This is my second story by Alyson Reynolds and I can't wait to see what she has coming next for us. I think this is my favorite so far in this series. Alyson is a wife, mother of two and is an avid reader. She loves to incorporate what she knows into her stories. She loves sharing her stories with anyone who will listen and of course she has her guilty pleasures. You will normally find her writing when she is not chasing her children around. This is a fast paced story that will keep you reading until the end. You will have a hard time putting this book down. You will need to see what happens next on each page that you turned. I highly recommend this book as I know you will fall in love with these two characters as much as I have.

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds is book 2 in the Waiting Duet. Book 1 is called Waiting to Breathe and stars Finn’s twin sister,Olivia.

Finn Crawford has a plan for the future but this means studying hard at SCU and leaving him with little time for fun. However, he makes the most of what time he does get and after drinking a whole bottle of tequila one night, he accepts a dare that's about to trigger unexpected events with his sisters best friend, Cora, who he has felt an attraction to for a while but managed to fight. Finn doesn't have time for anything more than one-night stands but he craves to be close to Cora and doesn't know if he can continue resisting now that he's had a taste of what could be possible.

“Cora had turned my world upside down and I didn't have a clue what to do about it. She was amazing, but this whole thing terrified me.” - Finn

Cora has always felt a closeness to Finn but having grown up with him and his sister, she treated him more like an annoying brother. However, Finn was there for her when she was left battered and bleeding, and this brings them closer as they spend time together and Finn helps her deal with what happened. Cora feels an attraction to him but it never goes beyond flirting. After one drunken night, Cora steps over the line of ‘just friends’ with Finn but still feeling broken due to what happened over a year ago, Cora isn't on the lookout for anything more and certainly doesn't want to do anything that could hurt her best friend.

“This thing between me and Finn had to end. One, or both of us, would only get hurt in the long run, not to mention what it would do to Olivia if we dated then broke up.” - Cora

Having read Waiting to Breathe, I couldn't wait to read Waiting to Fall as I wanted to see what happened between Finn and Cora who were clearly fighting an attraction in book 1. There were also hints that something had happened to Cora that she'd never told Olivia about and I hoped book 2 would explain further. As with book 1, I wasn't left disappointed and Alyson Reynolds deals with another very sensitive subject. Cora was broken after what happened her to and even though she doesn't want the demons to continue controlling her life, she's left unable to even consider having another relationship. I wasn't able to stop reading and hoped throughout that Finn and Cora would get their own HEA. I didn't see what was coming before the couple got their HEA though and I loved how Alyson used the situation to bring Finn and Cora even closer together.

In this book, we also learn about what's next for Olivia and Nate who had their own HEA at the end of book 1. I loved seeing what Alyson had in store for them and that the couple continued to grow together. Alyson Reynolds has created a fabulous duet series that I didn't want to end but I feel there was room for a third story involving Hannah who appeared in book 2 and became close friends with Cora. I would definitely recommend this series but be prepared to have Alyson Reynolds take you on a journey with Olivia, Nate, Finn and Cora that pulls you right in and makes you feel like you're actually there.

Waiting to Fall: Book Two of the Waiting Duet
By: Alyson Reynolds
5 out of 5 stars

The story Waiting to Fall: Book Two of the Waiting Duet by Alyson Reynolds is a new adult/romance book. This is the love story of Finn Crawford and Cora Donovan. They have always been best friends. Then a dare changes everything. Will this couple go from the “friend zone” and act on the feelings that they have for each other?

This is the amazing second story in the Waiting Duet. First, there was Olivia’s story and now we get to find out more about her twin brother and her best friend. I was hooked on the story from the very beginning and found myself quickly turning pages to find out what happens next. I love the characters of Finn and Cora. Cora is an outgoing woman who works hard going to college. She is fully supportive when her best friend Olivia falls in love and encourages the relationship. However, she doesn’t believe relationships are for her. An event in her past has shown her that dating is not for her. Then her feelings for Finn Crawford begin to change. They have always had a close friendship in which they tease each other incessantly. Now Cora finds herself wanting more than friendship and while she tries to close off these feelings it seems like a losing battle. Will Cora take a chance with Finn and confess to how she really feels about him?

Finn can’t believe that he and Cora took things a little too far. He also can’t believe the intense emotions that he now has for her. It invades his every thought and distracts him from his studying for his classes. Finn has always been there for Cora and took care of her when she needed him the most. Finn is confused with the signals that Cora is sending. First, she seems to want more and then just declares them friends-with-benefits. Can Finn convince Cora of his true feeling for her? Can he control his jealousy when he sees her flirting with other guys? Finn understands that Cora is reluctant to go beyond a casual relationship with him. Can he convince her that their love is worth taking a chance? Both Cora and Finn also worry about how their relationship will affect Olivia, Finn’s twin sister if it doesn’t work out. Will they both find that their love for each other is worth taking that chance?

I absolutely loved the first book and this second one is just as awesome. The author’s writing is amazing and has created characters that you root for and want them to find their HEA. This book has me believing in true love and soul mates. I loved having the characters from the first book transitioning to the second as you catch up on how their lives are progressing. This is a wonderful book to get lost in. I found myself reading it in one afternoon. This book does include adult situations. Finn and Cora’s story is very steamy. It would be for those 18 years of age and older.

Waiting to fall is the next book in this great series and follows on from Waiting to Breathe, the story centres on Finn and Cora and the simmering chemistry which sizzles in the air but if they give in to this super charge will the relationship survive or will it break the friendship apart beyond repair.

Finn and Cora have been best friends from when they were children, they have shared everything together. When Olivia returned back to college after the events over the last year there gang was back together again and now that Olivia is engaged to Nate the foursome have become closer than ever. Until one New Year’s Eve a simple kiss may change life as these four know?

That kiss has Finn thinking not so innocent thoughts about Cora his best friend until one night in the frat house with too much booze and little common sense they decided to christen the relationship but they agree that this is a onetime thing but once he has tried the forbidden fruit once will he be able to only taste this wonder only once.

Cora realises that this attraction for her best friend is getting out of control and that they cannot just be friends anymore so they decide to just use each other for sex, but they need to keep it a secret because if this goes wrong they would not be able to let if effect the relationship they have as a group. As weeks and months goes on Finn develops stronger feels towards Cora and believes she is the one for him, but because of Cora’s past she is unable to commit fully to what Finn is offering.

As the story continues you get to see a different side to Finn a more romantic side and all the lovely things he arranges to show his love how much she means to him. To see the character of Cora develop over the book to get the back history to her to understand that the flaws and the tragedy of the past has made her the remarkable women she is in this book. Also the developed of Finn as a character, in the first book you saw some of the caring side to him with him looking after his sister so fiercely but in this book his character opens up to become a man and understand what his true feelings and have been toward Cora for all these years.

I so enjoyed the first two books in this series and would love to read more regarding these lovable characters, I want to see how Hannah and Chance get on in there budding relationship in the next book.

WAITING TO FALL written by Alyson Reynolds

This book is the second in the duet series. You could read Waiting to Fall as a stand alone, but you would get more out of it if you read Waiting to Breathe first. This book will have you laughing, crying, hopeful, cheering for them to see what's right in front of them and praying for healing. Some sensitive issues are addressed in this book and leave you wanting to fiercely protect the characters like you would a best friend. It's a book about friendship, forgiveness, acceptance, realizing self worth and listening to your heart.

What happens when you take your lifelong best friend, her twin brother who has been your confident and start seeing him as more than a friend? Cora and Finn have always had a flirtatious friendship. They hang out with that same friends, they know each other's secrets, history, quirks, faults and defend, protect and love each other through it all.

“Finn wasn’t the kind of guy to want a relationship. He hadn’t had a serious girlfriend for at least a few years. But I wasn’t the kind of girl to want a serious relationship either. That ship sailed a long time ago. Just the thought gave me chills. I liked the status quo right now, drinking every weekend and finding a guy that knew the deal.”

Finn and Cora started to tempt fate...the flirting started to get more intense, which led to jealousy, fights, what-ifs and the fear of losing a lifelong friendship. Is it worth seeing if there is something more and realizing it wasn't just a friendship you were developing over the years or are you at risk of losing everything? Can you be more than friends and go back to your original relationship without anyone getting hurt? Will it change your relationship with your friends around you, will you be able to see each other with someone else? Will jealousy get the best of you, will this relationship be different than your worst nightmare you lived through? What happens when you can't turn to your confident, because that's who is breaking your heart?

“She was what I wanted, but that was confusing enough. We had been friends our entire lives. If we tried whatever this was and it went south, I would lose her forever.”

Another book from this superb author and I'm on cloud nine. I know that I say this all the time but it's the truth. I love this girl beyond words and I'm so happy that her books are a success, she deserves it.
Alyson Reynolds has a simple yet very intense writing that will melt your hearts. She's truth to her convictions and she can make you laugh in a sec and melt you into tears in the other with a flick of a page. Oh boy what a ride it is to read her books. She's amazing.
Waiting to Fall is the second book from the Waiting Duet series and just like the first one this book is amazing. Have you read Waiting to Breathe? Despite both books are standalones I totally advise you to read it first because you will know the characters better and will understand everything. Trust me on this because I know what I'm talking about.
Waiting to Fall tells the stories of Finn and Cora and all book is switched between their points of views.
Finn is the dedicated brother, he loves his sister to death and will do everything to protect her. He's also the most loyal friend. Don't get this wrong and think that he's a saint, because he isn't. He loves a good party and you know the rest.
Cora is a firecracker. She's stubborn as hell but a very loyal friend. She has a secret crush for Finn, even if she doesn't admit it but things are not always that easy and life can trick us. She wants a wild life, booze, one night stands and that's it.
They had one wild and passionate night with each other and they decided to forget it and move on but can they? Can they suppress years on desire and wanting to be together? Does a love fling worth the lost of a friendship?
I'm speechless, I'm happy but I'm also sad. Happy because this book was freaking amazing but sad because it ended so soon. I want more. Please I want more from Liv, Nate, Cora and Finn. This book is so intense, so breathtaking that there were parts that I couldn't breathe. I loved it so much.
And guess what? The hot scenes are intense and so hot. Hell yeah the hotter the better.
I'm so grateful for the chance to read all books from Alyson Reynolds because they are amazing.
Now Alyson I need to know one thing? Will there be a book about Hannah? Please say yes...

Waiting To Fall (The Waiting Duet Book 2) by Alyson Reynolds

5 Stars

Cora, attending college and adjusting to a new roommate since her best friend, Olivia moved in with her boyfriend, doesn't want any sort of relationship since dealing with a seriously bad break up with her ex. She gets along with everybody, and wouldn't know what to do without her friends.

Finn, never stays with one girl, and is known to enjoy one night stands and being very irresponsible. His best friend Nate just moved out of the frat house and in with his girlfriend, Finns' twin sister Olivia. Finn has taken on quite a load this year as he is working on a double major and fearing disappointing everyone he hasn't told a soul.

Cora, Finn and Olivia have been friends since they were young, growing up in the same town. Finn has made it his mission in life it seems to tease and piss Cora off at every turn, yet he has always been there for her whenever she has needed him. At a frat party, and on a dare that results in things going a bit too far between Cora and Finn, they don't know what to do or what this means for their friendship. The problem is neither one of them can get it out of their minds, it's all they think about. The harder they try to fight their attraction to each other and try to go back to being the friends they were, the harder it is to stay away from each other. Then there's another problem…..If they were to try and make something work and it didn't, what would that do to all their friendships and they know how much something like that would hurt Olivia. Is it all worth it?? Can friends become more than friends? Could Cora even trust in another relationship after what she's been through and when the past rears its ugly head can Finn protect her and himself?

I loved book one and now I equally love book two. This could be read as a standalone but you'd be missing out on a lot of history with this group. I hope someday there's more of these characters,I have fallen in love with them. This author has a way of bringing you in from page one, there is a steady flow to the writing and she builds these characters to where you actually feel like you know them. I highly recommend both books in this series. Loved them!!

Waiting to Fall is book two in the Waiting Duet by Alyson Reynolds. I didn't enjoy this book as much as Waiting to Breathe, but it was still good. 5 star book, with solid story line, good characters and I loved the writing style. The book tells the story of Finn and Cora, and how their friendship turns into a relationship. You don't HAVE to read book 1, but I recommend it, as the characters overlap and it gives a better history and background story. The book alternates between Cora and Finn's point of view, and I like this. It lets us see first hand how each of them feel about their situation, and the reasons why. I love the personalities of the characters, and their friendships together. I didn't enjoy this story at first, because it seems like they are just hooking up. Then you see how deep their feelings go, and start to believe they are truly soulmates, not just hook up buddies. I highly recommend the book.
Slight background on characters, if you didn't read Waiting to Breathe. Finn and Olivia are twins, and their best friends are Cora and Nate. Olivia and Nate get together in book one, and this book continues with the story of Finn and Cora. They have been best friends their whole lives, and have really gotten close over the last year that Olivia was away. After a drunken kiss sparks their feelings, they both begin to fall for each other. However, their mutual love for Olivia, makes them cautious. They have always flirted harmlessly, and are best friends, but don't want to risk losing their friendships, for something that may just be a fling.
Cora had a terrifying incident a few years back, and has led her to be hesitant to date. That's not to say she has been single, and ward off boys. Instead, she has casual hook ups, never letting herself stick around long enough to get attached. Finn had one long relationship, but it ended ages ago. Since then, he too has had some hook ups along the way. They have always been good friends, and spend the night together on a regular basis. Things were always platonic, until one night that a drunken game took things a little too far. Was it the biggest mistake ever? Or the best thing to have happened? Only time will tell.

Waiting to Fall
(Waiting Duet #2)
By Alyson Reynolds
5 STARS!!!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I was my favorite out of the duet because I think I liked the characters stories more in this book and the fact that the main characters from book #1 got more added on to their story! With that being said, I think it is important for you to read Waiting to Breathe (book #1) BEFORE this one!!!
The MC’s in this book are Cora Donovan and Finn Crawford. Cora is the super bubbly girl that has been best friends with Finn and Olivia (Finn’s Twin Sister) since they were kids. They ended up going to college together and have remained best friends for all of those years. There were times that Cora irked my nerves just a little bit, she would let Finn take all the blame for things that went wrong with them and I just wanted to slap some since into her. But when she finally got her head back on her shoulders where it belonged, I liked her a lot more! NOW.. Let me just take a moment and talk about Finn Crawford… Finn is SEXY AS SINN and I Just absolutely LOVED HIM!! I liked him from the moment we meet him in book#1 and this book make me fall that much harder for him!! (Into the book boyfriend basement//list he will stay forever!) Yes, there were moments where he need the sense knocked into him too but I still think he was my favorite character!
Now as I said before Cora and Finn have been best friends forever, but when they start seeing each other as maybe more than friends, they dot exactly know what to do. It gets to the point where they can’t even be in the same room together without getting all hot and bothered. When they finally give into temptation, they have one the best nights of their lives! But to take their relationship beyond what they have already pushed it to can’t happen, because what if they break up and end up hurting the one person they both care about most of all (Olivia)? Will Finn and Cora decide that the love and attraction that they feel for each other is worth all of the risks they are taking by being together? GO get this book so you can find out yourself!! You will not regret it!! It was an amazing book!!

4 stars!
Waiting to Fall is the second book in the Waiting Duet series by Alyson Reynolds. It is very possible to read this book as a standalone but having read the first book in this series I would recommend reading it first as I feel you get more from Finn and Cora’s background. I also think that after I finished the first book I couldn’t wait to get the story of these two characters and I probably enjoyed it more!
I loved Finn and Cora’s story! In book 1 they were great secondary characters but they both deserved their own story and I’m so glad that the author wrote it! Normally I’m not one for stubborn characters but I loved the love/hate relationship that Finn and Cora had! There is an air of tension around them but the chemistry and pull they had to each other was undeniable! I actually saw a completely different side to Finn, one that I definitely wasn’t expecting! I knew from book 1 that he was loyal friend and brother but he didn’t really live up to the ‘playboy’ lifestyle that I thought he was going to have! He was really conscientious and his academic career meant a lot to him. He proved that he was always there for Cora when she needed him.
I liked Cora! She was a pretty sweet girl. She was funny, really caring and loves her friends! It was nice to her build a new friendship with Hannah who became a nice additional secondary character. I can imagine how Cora felt having to keep her feelings to herself about Finn and how she felt like she was betraying her best friend Olivia. She really did love Finn she was just a little reluctant to make that jump into a relationship with him in fear of losing him as friend.
I absolutely loved Finn and Cora as a couple! I think they both needed each other! It was also nice to see the continuation of Olivia and Nate’s story in the background! I found this story to be just as well written as the first book – it’s easy to read and has brilliant characters that you just can’t help but fall in love with! I highly recommend this story if you are looking for that easy read with a great storyline. I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future!!

Waiting to Fall (The Waiting Duet, #2)
By Alyson Reynolds
5 Star Review

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds is a 5 star story; and the second book in The Waiting Duet series. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading Waiting to Breathe, Nate and Olivia’s story. Finn and Cora are introduced in the story.

Finn Crawford, he is Olivia’s twin brother and Cora is her best friend. But after one explosive night with Cora, someone he also considers his best friend, suddenly his eyes are wide open and he is full blown attracted to Cora. The attraction if it doesn’t work out could very well explode not only his life but also Cora and his sister Olivia.

Cora Donovan, best friend to both Olivia and Finn Crawford, and is now constantly fighting her attraction to Finn. One explosive night and she is fighting her body’s response to Finn every time he is in the same room. Finn has always been her best friend and he is the rock in her life, the fear of relationships and the fact she can’t lose him has her wondering what to do next.

Finn and Cora are a mystery, Finn is sexy, fun, strong and loving, Cora is sweet, fun, caring and also very loving, but everyone has fears and secrets. Cora is insecure and has been hurt, and doesn’t want to be hurt again. She loves Finn; he makes her smile and forgets things while they are together. Finn has a lot of pressure on him, his father wants him to run the business after graduating and he is a double major, his work load leaves him with little time for fun. But for Finn, he always makes time for Cora, he wants more than friends with benefits. But will he take the chance and share his feelings to Cora and will Cora let her guard down and give a relationship with Finn a real chance.

Just like the previous book this story really makes you feel for the characters and their journey to know themselves and to give love a chance. I look forward to anything that Alyson Reynolds writes in the future.

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds
5 stars
Waiting to Fall is the second book in this series by Alyson Reynolds, but can be read as a standalone. This story starts off with a bang and sets the pave for the whole book. Told in dual POV of Finn and Cora, the main characters.
Finn and Cora have been best friends since they can remember, along with Finns twin sister. Going to college together and partying with all the same people, they've always just gotten each other. Cora has sworn off anything serious since her nightmare of an ex boyfriend and Finn is happy to bed hop as well. But when sparks fly in the first book, it plants a seed in Finns head and this book takes you through their journey of best friends to lovers. Between being secretive and trying to find how their friendship will work now, this was an emotionally packed read.
Finn has always been best friends with Cora along with Finns twin sister, and he's always been protective of them both. When Cora had her incident with her ex, he was right by her side and agreed to keep his sister in the dark for the time being. But when emotions run high and a dare becomes the breaking point, where does that leave their friendship? Can Finn win Cora over and start a relationship or will they always be in the friend zone?
Cora has been through a lot with her ex and Finn was there to pick of the pieces. She's sworn off serious relationships and is happy to have fun with no strings. But after a dare, her traitorous heart has other plans. Trying to keep her heart guarded she gets to see how much Finn is willing to do without being asked. Can Finn be the answer she's needed all along or will her heart stay locked up forever?
I so loved this story and again the author touched on very sensitive topics and did so, so perfectly. Seeing the characters from book one and also some new ones was great! I can't wait to read more from this author!!

Waiting to Fall follows on from Waiting to Breathe and Olivia and Nate’s story continues in the background of this book. They are still very much in love and going strong which brings a smile to my face whenever Finn sees or hears anything remotely about their sex life.

Finn and Cora are our main characters in this story. As much as they give it to each other and there is always tension between the two, they are best friends. I loved the way they were with each other and could not wait to see what happens between them. Finn is a great friend and brother who is caring, loving, sweet and smart. Oh and did I mention sexy? Finn would do anything for those he cares about. Definitely a boy you would want to take home to mum.

Cora is also a caring, loving, sweet and funny woman who is also there for the ones she loves but she doesn’t see herself that way. What she sees someone who is broken, insecure and damaged. She doesn’t do relationships and when the quiet gets too much she turns to Finn. Finn knows the horrors she endured and has always been there for her.

After Finn and Cora hook up confusion is the name of the game. Taking things just that one step further leaves them both reeling with unsure emotions. Finn is Cora’s best friend, Olivia’s twin brother should they embark on a relationship and things go south where would that leave things? They are both afraid of ruining their friendship and Cora has issues she needs to deal with. Both are stubborn but when they are faced with life and death will they both realise what is important in life? Both are worried how Olivia will take their relationship and don’t want to hurt her but doing so may be enough to keep them apart.

This book is set at the same pace as Waiting to Breathe. It is a great story that will have you holding your breath and breaking your heart but at the same time laughing and enjoying the great connection you have found with these characters.

Waiting to Fall : The Waiting Duet, Book Two
By Alyson Reynolds
5/5 Stars

Waiting to Fall is the second book in The Waiting Duet series by Alyson Reynolds. This is the conclusion of Waiting to Breathe. Make sure to read that one first, to get a better understanding of what's going on.
I personally , have been waiting patiently to read this book! I enjoyed the first book so much!! Now this is the story with Finn and Cora. You Will not be able to put it down!! It's such a deep and emotional read. You're gonna fall in love with these characters, just as much as I have!!!
Finn Crawford and Cora Donovan’s life has been turned upside down with just a simple dare, a kiss… that has shaken them both to the core.
Finn is worried he's taken things a bit too far with Cora. Afterall, she is his twin Sister’s, Olivia’s,best friend. He is now fighting off his attraction to her. He never expected these type of feelings for his, best friend… ever!! He doesn't know what to do.. should he act on it or just try to ignore it?
Cora doesn't do relationships… ever!!!! Especially not with her best friend. He has ALWAYS been there for her… good and bad, he’s there! But the attraction, is undeniable!! She tries her hardest to deny her feelings for him. But will she be able to fight off her feelings for him?
Cora and Finn’s attraction to one another, is steaming hot! Their sexual tension for one another , can make a nun blush. But is it more than just sex, a friends with benefit kind of deal??
Will they risk losing their friendship to see what “this” is?? Will they be able to figure it out before it's too last? Is love worth taking a risk, even if it means losing your best friend??
You have to read this book to see what happens with Cora and Finn!! It's such a great little love story!! Wonderful job, Alyson!! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!!!

Waiting to Fall: The Waiting Duet Book 2 by Alyson Reynolds – 4 stars

We first met Finn and Cora in Waiting to Breathe which is the story of Finn’s twin sister Olivia. Olivia, Finn and Cora all grew up together, have been best friends for as long as they remember and now they are away at college so things are changing.

Have you ever had one of those nights that you drank too much, danced a little too hard, laughed a little too loud and woke up next to your best friend? No? Well good for you (please don’t judge those of us who might have). Cora did just that. She and Finn have been friends for as long as anyone can remember and they hadn’t crossed that invisible line – until they did. Sure, everyone assumed they were a couple because they were super close, she slept in his bed sometimes and they were always making sexual innuendos to each other, but all it is just a couple of best friends joking with each other. Waiting to Fall starts “the morning after”.

Alyson Reynolds writes a dynamic story. Waiting to Fall is told in dual points of view and at times I was laughing (“There was nothing quite like eating your feelings when boys complicated your life.”) and at times I was cringing. This was a quick read and I immediately connected with Cora. Life can be hard sometimes and when your best friend isn’t always available, well that makes it even harder. I realize that this is considered “Finn’s story” but I really look at it as “Cora’s story” and Finn is just a player in it because sometimes boys just suck.

This series is a duet which means two (good thing I went to college ~wink~) but if Alyson Reynolds wanted to turn it into a series exploring the other characters such as Chance and Hannah and the bartender, I would be reading those on release day also.

Waiting to Fall by Alyson Reynolds is book two in The Waiting Duet. In book one we read about Olivia and Nate. In book two we are given a deeper look into the life of Finn, Olivia's twin brother. I'd recommend reading the first and then the second because you will see Finns compassionate side and how much he loves his sister.

Finn Crawford is not known for his relationships. But he is known for a slew of women in his bed. Aside from that, he is loyal to a fault and would do anything for his twin sister and their best friend Cora. Though he and Cora have always picked on one another, he as always protected and been there for her. But now he might be seeing her in another light, or the dark.

Cora Donovan has not had a great past with relationships. That being said, she likes to be in control and that means keeping guys at arms lengths and making it known it is generally a one time thing. She is sassy, speaks her mind and is drop dead gorgeous. She can have her pick but deep down she knows she have eyes for one guy, it's a matter of allowing herself to come to terms with her feelings.

After a drunken Fraternity party these two best friends may have spent the night in tangles. I was SO happy reading this story and it is a PERFECT example of college relationships with close friends. You have to tread carefully and you never know what will happen. These two were fantastic together, I loved their banter and how they flirted and picked at one another.

I was proud of Cora and how she was able to process everything. She is so sweet and kind and thinks of everyone else. And I absolutely loved how Finn just wanted to take care of her. He wanted everything for her. This is totally a happily ever after because I probably would have freaked out if not, but it takes them both a very long time to come around and get through the major bumps in their journey.

This is book two in the Waiting Duet and while you should read book one to feel more connected to this story, I actually believe if you read these as standalones you would still enjoy the books. Book one is about Nate and Olivia and we see Finn and Cora as well; however, while we still see all characters in book two, this is about Finn and Cora. I loved that we got to see all of them cause you kinda fall in love with all of them and you feel as if you apart of their college lives.
Finn and Cora are BF and Olivia is Finn’s twin as well. Finn has always been there for Cora including a past that we knew was there in book one, but comes to light in book two. No wonder that girl wasn’t ready for a relationship. All I can say without giving any spoilers is there is a twist that has your heart pumping and oh my, I thought the worst. Whewy! My heart goes back to normal. They had a dare that led to a drunken night, while they said it would only happen once they each start to realize that lines are becoming blurred. They each want to take this to a different level, but ruining their friendship and hurting Olivia in the process is not want they want. You will laugh at them and realize how stubborn they both are when the outsiders could see that they should be together and they thought no one would agree or knew.
You will love the continuing story of Olivia and Nate as well. Even if you decided to not read book one and read this you would be able to enjoy these two as well. These characters are funny, loveable, protect each other and a very close knit family. You will definitely be waiting to Fall or Breathe while reading either book. I hope to see them down the road (all four of them).

Waiting To Fall, The Waiting Duet Book 2, by Alyson Reynolds. I was so excited to read this book and see what was going to happen with Finn and Cora. We first met them in Book 1, that is where I fell in love with them and needed to know what was going to happen with them.
Finn Crawford has known Cora Donovan since they were kids and they have been friends ever since. No matter who they were with, relationship wise, they were always there for each other. After one drunken night dare, his life has completely changed. Finn had entirely too much to drink and he can only remember bits and pieces, he wants to remember everything that happened between him and his sisters best friend.
Cora has always felt a strong pull towards Finn. He has been there for her at some of the roughest times she has gone through. She just feels safe and protected when he is near her but she is not looking for a serious relationship, especially with the one guy that she can lose herself in. She also isn't willing to risk losing her best friend Olivia ( who happens to be Finn’s twin sister), if things don't work out between them. Can they take the chance of having true love and forget about the what could happens?

Their back and forth arguments about whether to keep it strictly casual, friend with benefits or just end it completely, made me crazy a little but getting to understand what Cora had gone through, made me better understand her reason behind it. Finn did try to keep the comedy going throughout, and I totally loved him, except when he royally messed up, but after all, he is a guy.

This book is definitely a must read!! I do recommend reading book 1 first just to get familiarized with all of the characters and their stories. I hope you love this book as much as I did.

Waiting to Fall, by Alyson Reynolds, is the second book of the Waiting Duet. This is a new adult * college romance themed novel. I could not wait to read Finn Crawford's story after reading the first book in this duet, Waiting to Breathe – Olivia's twin brother needed his own story. Despite Olivia and Finn being best friends with Cora Donovan, the chemistry between Finn and Cora just sizzled in the first book. For those two now to have their own story, I was anxiously on the edge of my seat so excited to begin!!

The author did an outstanding job with the second part of this duet. We get additional insights into Finn and Cora, with the story provided being the perfect finale to this duet! I liked how it was not a straight forward romance, but one that has obstacles and pasts that needed to be addressed, issues to work out. I loved how the group friendship with Olivia and Nate were also included/continued within the story, as well.

Cora Donovan was feisty and fun in the first book, but in this one, we get to learn additional sides of her and what has shaped her into the character that we know her as. Finn Crawford is your typical male frat boy, at least as he was initially developed and portrayed in the first book, but as we see with Cora, we see further character development with Finn in the second part of the duet. One of my favorite things about Cora and Finn's friendship/relationship is their quirky and on edge banter. I love how he calls her “Princess” on/off throughout this duet.

Truly loved this book, he holds par with the first book of the duet. I highly recommend you read Waiting to Breathe prior to reading Waiting to Fall. This is a wonderful set, that leaves a lasting impression.

Cora and Finn have been best friends for years and always had each others back but everything changes for them on one drunken night Finn wakes up one morning with Cora in his bed hes wanted this ever since the kiss they shared at the new years eve party. Finn wants them to continue to hook up in secret but Cora is hesitant as she don't want to get hurt or loss her best friend if things end badly. When feelings start to develop they are both scared to share them to each other thinking they both wont feel the same can these two come to together and confess there feelings? or will this lead to drama and heartbreak? I absolutely loved this novel Cora I adored her she was strong, feisty, caring and has a huge heart, Finn had me swooning hes such a decent guy who will protect the people he love and care about without a second thought and to top it of he's dropped dead gorgeous. There story is far from easy they have a lot of obstacles and demons to fight throughout which takes you on one huge emotional roll coaster that gets you hooked from beginning right til the very end. It was written beautifully and absolutely flawless which made reading it that more enjoyable that I ended up reading it in two hours I just couldn't put it down I was captivated by there story. This is a standalone book but I would highly recommend reading waiting to breath first so you can fully enjoy the experience and get to know more bout the characters background. While reading this you will be wishing for a happily ever after for Cora and Finn you will find yourself rooting for them and wanting to reach in and grab them by the shoulders and shake them out of there stupidity and get them to see what's in front of them. I would highly recommend this novel truly amazing happy reading!
